ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Treasurer’s Report
-       Does not include the Dance however includes some expenses for the dance – pre June 30th.
-       Financials 1 July 2013 to 30th June 2014

Overview
-       Another successful year with participation in Panayiri and Annual Dance
-       Profile is growing and we have managed to create awareness of our events.
-       Social media presence is growing with nearly 200 likes on our Facebook page of our events.
-       Annual Dance was the largest we have had to date and a large part of the success of this event was due to the hard work of the committee in filling the tables quickly and in great numbers.
-       Increased online presence means we were able to create a lot of excitement around the event and this brought more people in.
-       3 years donated a percentage of the Associations profits to the St Nicholas Nursing Home. This is also in our constitution and was great to be able to give back.
 
What’s Ahead
-       Looking into the next year, we have not voted on and confirmed the calendar (this will be for the new committee), but we would be looking at participating at next years Panayiri and also look at creating more events for our members.
-       Our current membership is just over 200 people and we would like to grow this over the next year.
-       Continued presence as the various memorial services held throughout the year including Anzac Day, and other commemorative services.
-       As online presence grows we will be able to have a greater reach of members and non-members and non-members and this will ensure we can encourage support for out events and functions.

In Summary
-       This has been an excellent year for us and we have managed to host and participate in some large-scale events.
-       We look to more member-focused events and than you all for you support.
-       Nick would like to wish the new committee every success for their future ventures.

7pm at the Greek School

Just a reminder, this will probably be our last FULL meeting for 2 weeks and when we meet again, we have 2 options.  Wednesday 1st of May is in the Greek Holy Week and we probably won’t be able to meet at the Greek School.  The following week is the 8th of May (only 10 days before the Paniyiri) and then the following week, the week of the Paniyiri, we will have a few nights of packaging sweets, dolmathes ect.. 

Technically, we will only have 2 meetings left including tomorrow night.  It is important that all decisions made and tasks allocated are signed off on, and followed through.  There won’t be time to double check anyone’s responsibilities, and if you are allocated a task, you will need to follow through and confirm it with me via email so that I can check it off that the job has been done. 

This is a wrap up of where I think we are at to date.  I may have missed something and I will need your help to go through these notes thoroughly and let me know if there is something which I have overlooked. 

Before next week’s Paniyiri Committee meeting (I will need a couple of volunteers with me as a back up), we will need the following:

• All paperwork to be submitted including certificate of currency (done), food business licence (done), car allocation (NOT DONE)
  
• Equipment to be hired and confirmed as we will need to amend the power requirements if we need 3 phase power for the cold room.  This will need to be confirmed by tomorrow nights meeting.
